I assume from your previous questions you are working in Photoshop. What is the file format of the image you are working with? Perhaps you are working in the wrong layer of a PSD image? Have you tried the approaches taken by any of the tutorials from my answer to your previous question?

When dragging onto a new document, make sure you have the Move Tool selected, not the Marquee Tool. <br />

I get only the &quot;blinking ants&quot; in the shape of the object I tried to select, but it is only the shape of the object, with none of the colors. For example, I tried to outline with the lasso tool a stork with a white background. I had another new document with a white background opened. I get only the "blinking ants" in the shape of the object I tried to select, but it is only the shape of the object, with none of the colors.
