while initializing device IOS: real mode system memory allocation failed
After installing new software (Coreldraw 11) my system will no longer boot normally, but only in safe mode. When I try to boot normally, I get the above cited error message, (while initializing device IOS: real mode system memory allocation failed) and after that nothing further happens until I press ctrl alt del and reboot the system.
I have tried other system startups but cannot find the culprit for this behavior. Can you help me?

The microsoft knowledgebase is worse than useless. Yesterday I could not even get in all day, but today their
site was finally up again and I did a search. Nothing regarding the problem I have. The three links mimiscu gives
are red herrings. The problem WAS the registry, but from microsoft's information we'd never know it.
