Security Assignment Missing in Windows XP Professional

I'm trying to set user permissions on files and directories in Windows XP.  My main drive is an NTFS partition, and my other drive is a FAT32 partition.  When I view the properties of a file on my NTFS partition, it doesn't show the Security Tab.  Does anyone know why and how I can get it back?

you should have the security tab on the NTFS partition and not the FAT32.  FAT32 does not have this feature as it is part of the security built into NTFS.  No way around it except to convert the partition to NTFS.
