Are this files reside in one folder, if yes what u can do is try to take an ownership for this folder under administrator right, after all try to rename the folder name. After that u need to log off and log on again, see whether u able to delete the file or not. If still can't u need to restart the computer to make sure the system is release its memory, and try to delete it.

there is no possibility to access the files.
it is definitly an ntfs error. (not a permission-problem)
and it looks like there is something wrong with the link from file to place where data is located
I think the location of the cluster is missing, because its not possible to do anything with this file

Can you delete it from a DOS Window?

What is the filename or what does it look like? Sometimes (as pointed out) NT refuses to access a file or directory at all. I noticed this a few times when Win2K servers were hacked and script kiddies buried their "1337 warez" 30 folders deep on an FTP server with strange filenames.
At any rate, seeing directly what you are talking about might help.

ok errormessages :)
attrib -a -r -s -h *
>>> Attrib was not able to change: C:\0\madasborg.aa
del *
>>> do you want to delete c:\0\* J/N J
c:\0\madasborg.aa
>>> the system was not able to find file
------------
so i tried with shortname:
dir /A /X
>>> 16.03.2003 ....... 0 MADASBOR madasborg.aa
del MADASBOR
>>> c:\0\MADASBOR not found
so i slowly begin to hate ntfs *g*
it looks like the file has an "index" into the filesystem, but there is missing a link to the place where the file is located on the harddisk

Have you checked the registry to see if there is anything that starts that may be using this file ?

@CrazyOne i was also wondering because of the filename
but the problem now changed a little bit
after norton diskdoctor (he found some "unbounded" clusters) i was able to delete the file
B U T
now its impossible to delete the folder where the file was located *LOL*
it is now allways writing "Folder not empty"

Sorry, I didn't reread the thread. My comment is basically the same thing mentioned by CrazyOne.
So I guess you could say that I agree with CrazyOne's comment. Just for the record, I have simply added to CrazyOne's proposed answer.
