IRQ assignment in WIN2000

My motherboard is an ASUS CUSL2. Bios v1009.
The OS is WIN2000.
In BIOS the PCI IRQs are set as follows:
Slot 1/5 IRQ = [10] with an SCSI card in the slot.
Slot 2 IRQ = [9] with an FastTrack100 raid card in the slot.
Slot 3 IRQ = [11] with an Network card in the slot.
Slot 4 IRQ = [Auto] nothing in the slot.
Slot 6 IRQ = [5] with a soundcard in the slot.

Despite this Win2000 System Info reports the following:

[Conflicts/Sharing]

Resource     Device
IRQ 9     Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
IRQ 9     WinXP Promise FastTrak100 (tm) Controller
IRQ 9     SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211TX)
IRQ 9     Creative SB Live! Basic (WDM)
IRQ 9     Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller
IRQ 9     Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller

What can one do to correct this and get the proper IRQ settings in win2000?

The short answer is without reformatting and reintalling and using a the Standard PC HAL instead of the ACPI HAL then there really isn't anything you can do. And even using Standard PC HAL will still share some IRQ's.

In fact, IRQ sharing or "virtual IRQ" is a useful feature of Win2k.
On my box for example I have several hardware use IRQ 20, 23, ..etc, and never have any problem.
