you can network them .............which will allow you direct access between the puters or.......

you can pull the laptop drive out and get an adaptor which will enable you to plug that into any standard IDE cable and you can then use the laptop drive as a slave on your other puter to transfer data..

or.....if the data's not too large... you can use floppy disks .....you can 'span' the information that is to say 'split' files into small units in order to fit em on floppy
if you only have say 10 megs or a little more info to shift this maybe the easiest way and costs nothing

Hello Victor,

1 :
If you have Networkcards in both PC's use it with TCP/IP :
Plug the Cable in the Networkcards Start the PC'S use Network config.

2 :
Open your Laptop disconect the Harddisk and connect it to your Desktop system IDE Port. Dont forget to correkt jumprsetting on the Laptop Harddisk.

3 :
Use Floppy Disks to Transfer data.

4 :
Use Internal or External Zip Drive.

5 :
Use a Crossover Hyperlinkcable (to buy in good stors as relict)

6 :
If you have a Infrared Conector on your PC's use it.
You do not mention anything about these two computers beeing members of a domain or not, so I give you the solution from the angle that they´re not.

1) Use floppy (for data-amounts <= 1,44 mb
If the data amount is greater in size than 1,44 mb
you have to use more than one disk, and if one of the
files are greater than 1,44 mb you have to zip it or
eventually even span the file over more than one disk.

This solution is only applicable for small amounts of
   data
