If you define your location document to use local mail, your outgoing mail would be stored in mail.box or smtp.box (depending: notes- or webmail).
Untill you replicate (with domino or smtp mailserver) all outgoing messages are stored there.
To recall a message: access the outgoing mail box and delete it.
Still.... once sent (replicated), it's sent!

I've already seen someone removing a mail directly from the server's mail.box, but he's really fast... a few chance for that solution !
If you have access there (higher than depositor, with delete rights) you can do so, if the server doesn't route mail at once. E.g. if it waits for a specified no. of messages....
I consider your changes to do so small to none.

Actually, Scottrma, the Outlook has an actual recall email function. There's just a few caveats: 1) You both have to be logged on. 2) He has to have NOT read the email yet.
If both of those cases are true, then you can recall the email, and pull it right out of his inbox.
